We spoke to Bethan Jolene to find out all about her new Youtube channel and aims with her content on Instagram.
Beth is 17 from a small town in West Yorkshire - but making a big splash on social media.
"I feel like I have always been meant to make YouTube videos (cheesy I know), but ever since I was little I would start channels and make videos. I used to do makeup videos and video stars when I was younger, but I ended up deleting them when someone from school found out.
We definitely don't think it's cheesy, Beth's bubbly yet laid back personality shines through in her two videos already uploaded to her channel.
"During this lockdown I have been working on myself and changing my mindset by following positive people who motivate and inspire me. I have decided not to let what I believe people think of me to rule my life and just doing what I really want to do, which is grow my platform on YouTube and Instagram." Said Beth.
We LOVE this attitude from Beth - lockdown is the perfect time to practice self-care and our outlooks on life.
Just from one glance at Beth's Instagram it is no secret that she is passionate about makeup and has been creating some gorgeous looks.
Beth said: "I have 3 older sisters so I have been doing my makeup since I was really young - I would just play with their makeup. I just absolutely love getting creative and trying different looks. I've always been quite creative and it's really exciting being able to use your face as a canvas."
Beth will be starting at the University of Huddersfield in September to study Digital and Social Media Marketing - which we can imagine will give her an edge when running her Instagram and YouTube channel.
"I will be moving into student accommodation and have bought everything to take with me pretty much (I uploaded a haul to my channel last week). I have already met a girl who I've become quite good friends with so far which is really lovely.
I'm really excited but also really nervous for starting university, so any tips or advice would be amazing. I've been binging lots of YouTube videos and vlogs to help me feel a bit more prepared of what to expect." said Beth.
Beth also hopes to vlog and create some university content when she starts her course as she has not found any other creators that attend the University of Huddersfield, and wants to help any prospective students - we love this idea.
The Covid-19 outbreak and lockdown meant Beth's last year at Sixth Form was ended in a sudden way.
Beth said: "It's hard to feel motivated and productive when I have nothing to do, because of the way they are determining our grades since exams have been cancelled I have no work to do and school is just kinda over for me.
It's been really weird because school just ended with no real closure, so now I just feel in a weird limbo between sixth form and university."
We're sure so many people can relate with Beth - wether it be the sudden end of your school or university career, we definitely are living in the strangest time of our lives. We think it's amazing that Beth has been able to focus her energy into her social media presence.
Some of Beth's favourite creators are Charlotte Emily Price, Carrie Pendle, Ellie Rose Tyrell and Lucy Wood.
Beth also let us know that she listens to The 'S' Word Podcast (thank you!!!!).
