Hello! Welcome back to The Influencer blog, Beth and Lizzie here, to tell you allll about our new skincare favourites. I don't know about you, but being stuck inside for 3 months has given us plenty of time to invest in our skin and find some amazing products that really work. Self care is pretty important anyway, but during a global pandemic, even more so.
Step 1: Cleansing
Whether you're working from home, or spending your lockdown days getting those life admin tasks done, it is super important to take time to look after yourself! Self isolation is a great way to get into a routine of looking after your skin. Cleansing your skin is a super important step in your routine, as it gets rid of any dirt or impurities that may be hiding in your skin and leaves your face feeling fresh and silky smooth. This La Roche-Posay cleanser is super hydrating and smoothing and is also a great makeup remover (bonus - you don't need to use makeup wipes!). It is also super affordable too, it can be purchased here: https://www.lookfantastic.com/la-roche-posay-effaclar-h-hydrating-cleansing-cream-200ml/11227837.html
Step 2: Toner
Toning your skin is a great way to remove any last impurities or dirt that you may have missed while cleansing. Toning also helps to tighten pores and remove skin texture. The Pixi Glow tonic is amazing for reducing scars and texture, and leaves your skin with a nice subtle glow - perfect for summer! You can purchase here: https://www.lookfantastic.com/pixi-glow-tonic-250ml/11200055.html
Step 3: Moisturiser
Whether you're in a freezing office, or at home with the heating turned up to full, your skin is always battling against the environment you're in. It is VITAL that you keep your skin moisturised. This Cera Ve moisturiser is amazing at keeping your skin hydrated and also has SPF so it is perfect for those warmer summer days. We would definitely recommend using a moisturiser with SPF in during the day. You can purchase here: https://www.boots.com/cerave-facial-moisturising-lotion-spf25-10246705-
Using a rich night cream on a night is an amazing way to keep your skin hydrated and wake up glowing. This Burt's Bees moisturiser provides an intense nourishment to dry skin and makes your skin feel amazing when you wake up. You can buy the night cream here: https://www.johnlewis.com/burt's-bees-intense-hydration-night-cream-50g/p1993228
Step 4: Eye Cream
Using an eye cream is SO important as the skin around your eyes is more fragile than that on the rest of your face. This Cera Ve eye cream is amazing for reducing those dark circles from your broken sleep routine and is super adorable. You can buy it here: https://www.boots.com/cerave-eye-repair-cream-14ml-10258274
Step 5 (optional!): Face Masks
Why not treat yourself (and your skin) to a relaxing face mask when you finish work for the day? The revolution face masks are UNREAL and so affordable too. They do all sorts of different ones from clearing masks, to hydrating masks, to glow masks. We definitely recommend, but the mint choc chip on is our personal fave! Check out the range here: https://www.revolutionbeauty.com/uk/en/skin/face-masks/revolution-skincare-x-jake-jamie-mint-choc-chip-face-mask/1183192.html
Step 6: Body Moisturiser
Lets be honest, what is better than getting THE shower? Where you shave, exfoliate and then moisturise and get into bed feeling all fresh. This Hempz body moisturiser will leave your skin feeling nourished and silky smooth, perfect for those summer nights.
